Mt Longonot National Park

Located near Naivasha in the Rift Valley Province and Central Kenya region, Mt Longonot National Park covers an area of 52 square kilometres. It's a fairly steep ascent for about 3km from the base to the crater rim - Mt Longonot was a volcano - and a 7km walk around the crater. This is the story of my realisation that climbing mountains is perhaps not something I need to pursue... but Mt Longonot is a perfect day trip for fitter people than me!
