So very often, I travel to Thailand yearly for short trips over the past decade and it was mostly a 3-4 day shopping trip and I always put myself up at the same Baiyoke hotel extremely close to the Pratunam market and Platinum Mall, which is an excellent location if you are really just there for shopping purposes. The reason why I kept going back is because I really enjoy Baiyoke Sky's intercontinental buffet on the 76/78 Floor, they also have the highest "floating market" on the 75th which gives you entry to the Observation Deck...
