Food and wine festivals are quite popular with culinary travellers and the Barbados Food, Wine and Rum Festival is held during the national independence month of November. Non festival types, however, seek out off the beaten track restaurants that are popular with the locals, to eat drink and be Barbadian for a rich cultural experience. The first bite of the fresh, fried red snapper was succulent and gastronomically rewarding and they were hooked; to top it off seating is seaside.
