Aside from being the biggest and northern most island of the Adriatic, Krk Island is also a tourism powerhouse for Croatia because of its beauty and diversity. And if you have trouble pronouncing this island's name because of the lack of vowel, you may also call it (the way Italians or Germans do), "Veglia" and "Vegl" respectively.
